Haypp Report: 95% of UK Ex-Smokers Report Positive Change with Nicotine Pouches
Haypp's report indicates 95% of UK ex-smokers feel better after switching to nicotine pouches.

According to Tobacco Reporter, a recent report by Haypp indicates a significant shift in UK consumer behavior towards modern oral nicotine pouches. Haypp's fourth annual Nicotine Pouch Report, based on a survey of over 2,000 users, found that 95% of respondents who transitioned from cigarettes reported feeling better after making the change. The findings suggest a growing preference for non-inhalation alternatives in the UK market.
The report detailed that 68% of users began using pouches to cease smoking, vaping, or both. Specifically, 43% aimed to quit smoking, 40% sought to stop vaping, and 15% intended to discontinue both products. Users cited perceived health benefits (64%), discretion (64%), and reduced impact on others (52%) as primary motivations for adopting nicotine pouches. Usage was most common at home (85%) and at work (79%), reflecting the product's discreet nature.
This trend in the UK aligns with broader discussions around nicotine pouch adoption. Separately, new data reported on Facebook by the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) suggests a significant increase in nicotine pouch use among young Canadians, with over one-third indicating they have tried the products. This indicates a wider regional interest in modern oral nicotine products across different demographics.
Haypp stated that the report's findings suggest a market shift within the UK's nicotine sector. This shift is observed following the implementation of the disposable vape ban and the Tobacco and Vapes Act, which are prompting adult nicotine users to explore alternatives that do not involve inhalation. The regulatory landscape appears to be influencing consumer choices towards products like nicotine pouches.
